Are you actually local, or is this a franchise thing?
I am a web developer based in Ringwood and I work from here. There is no office, no team of account managers and no head office somewhere else. When you deal with Scalus you are dealing with me. That is also why the list of suburbs above is short. It is the area I genuinely cover.
Is it really $225 a month?
Yes. $225 a month, month to month. No build fee, no setup cost, and you can cancel any time.
Who actually looks after my site once it is live?
Me. I handle the build and then I keep looking after it. Available 9 to 5 Monday to Friday on WhatsApp and email. It is one to one, so there is no support queue and no ticket number.
Will I have editor access?
Not directly, and that is deliberate. Send me the change and I do it for you. You never have to learn a page builder or worry about breaking something. Most of my clients send me a message on WhatsApp and get on with their day.
What if I already have a website?
Most of my clients did. Josh had one. It just was not bringing him work. If yours is not earning its keep, that is the thing worth fixing. Leave your details and I will have a proper look at what you have got and tell you straight what is wrong with it.
Will it actually get found on Google?
It gets built properly, indexed, and structured so Google and the answer tools can read it. Nobody can promise you position one, and I will not. What I can tell you is that a huge number of small business sites are not even indexed, so they cannot rank at all. Fixing that is where it starts.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Everything is month to month. Stay as long as it is working for you, leave whenever you like.
Do I own the website?
Your domain, your content, your photos, your accounts and the design of your site are yours, and they leave with you along with a full export of your enquiries and data. The code base itself stays with Scalus while you are on the monthly plan, because there is no build fee and nothing to pay up front, so the build is carried by me and paid off over the months you stay.
What happens if I stop paying?
Everything is month to month, so you give one month's notice and everything of yours comes with you. What stops is the part I run for you: hosting, support, maintenance, security, the chat bot and the other integrations. No lock in and no exit fee.
What if I am not satisfied?
I will do everything I can to make it right. If I still cannot, I will cancel your subscription straight away, and your site stays live for another 14 days so nothing drops off overnight.
What is the catch with the price?
There isn't one. I build and manage websites on my own systems, so I can offer a full, looked after site for a flat monthly price instead of a big cheque upfront.
