Book a call with Tim, straight from the Scalus app

· 2 min read · Tim McCartney

The booking page with a Tuesday 9:30am time chosen, the booker's details filled in and a teammate added to the meeting with one tap

Booking a call with me used to be a back and forth. A client would message "can we have a quick call", I would send a couple of times, they would pick one, and then somebody would need to pass the video link on to whoever else was joining. If the call was for two people at the business, the second person usually heard about it by word of mouth and had no link and no reminder.

What you can do now

In the Scalus app, under Support, there is now Book a call with Tim and Call Tim now. Book a call opens a page with your details already filled in and the free times on my calendar for the next three weeks. Every call is 20 minutes on video.

Pick a time, tap your teammates in, and the invite and the reminders take care of the rest.

If you ask in the chat

If you message me in the app asking for a call, you will get the booking link back and the menu item will show a small pointing finger until you open it. And if you would rather just ring, Call Tim now does exactly that, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.

Questions about this one

How long is the call?
20 minutes, on video. If we need longer we book another one, or I call you.
Can I bring someone else from my business?
Yes. Anyone already on your Scalus account appears as a one tap button when you book. You can also add anyone else by name and mobile, with their email if you want them on the calendar invite.
What reminders do we get?
One confirmation email when you book, with the video link and calendar buttons. Then a text to every mobile on the booking 1 hour before and 10 minutes before the call.
What if I need to change the time?
Use the move or cancel link in your confirmation email. Everyone on the booking gets the update, and the reminders follow the new time.
