A quote quiz and a review system for Glow Electrical

· 2 min read · Tim McCartney

The Glow Electrical home page on a computer and on a phone, showing the quote quiz and the recent work strip

Glow Electrical is a family owned electrician in Ringwood East, looking after homes across Melbourne's eastern suburbs. They do everyday electrical, solar, battery storage and EV chargers, with more than 25 years in the trade behind them. Every job is priced upfront before anything starts, and their website now says so the moment it opens.

What they needed

A good electrician is on the tools all day. The proof of the work sits in the job records and in the heads of customers who keep coming back. Someone searching for a sparky at night sees none of that. They see a phone number and have to guess the rest.

Glow needed a site that showed a stranger what the regulars already know, and a quick way for that stranger to ask for a price without ringing in the middle of a job.

What I built

I built the site around a short quote quiz and the real record of their work.

Show the real jobs and let people ask for a price in five taps.

The result

Glow now has a site that does the talking while the team is on a job. It shows 579 completed jobs since 2021, work across 119 suburbs, and that 80 per cent of recorded jobs come from customers who came back. It shows a 5.0 rating from 18 Google reviews, and there is a simple path for the next customer to add theirs.

Have a look at Glow Electrical. If you are in the eastern suburbs and need an electrician, the quiz takes about a minute.

Questions about this build

How does the quote quiz on the Glow Electrical site work?
It sits at the top of the home page and asks five short questions, starting with what kind of work you need. When you finish, your details go straight to Glow.
Where do the recent jobs on the site come from?
They come from Glow's own job records. Each one shows the type of job, the suburb and the month it was done.
How does a customer leave a review?
A page on the Glow site asks how the job went. The customer taps a star and is taken through from there, so it takes about a minute.
