Building a law-firm website that speaks human: how we helped Pasha Legal
Pasha Legal lives by a line that most law firms would never put on their door: Real legal help for real people. Based in Doncaster East and led by Hina Pasha, the firm covers an unusually wide spread of work — family law, criminal and police matters, property and conveyancing, wills and estates, commercial disputes, VCAT and building disputes, insurance claims and business consulting. Eight areas of law under one roof. The challenge was making a website that felt as approachable as the firm itself.
The starting point
Most people who contact a lawyer are having a hard week. A relationship has broken down, a charge has been laid, a will needs sorting, a dispute has boiled over. They're stressed, and very often they don't know the legal name for the thing that's happening to them. They just know they need help.
The standard law-firm website does the opposite of help in that moment. It's cold, dense and full of jargon, and it quietly tells an anxious person they've come to the wrong place. Pasha Legal wanted the reverse — a site that meets people where they are and makes the first step feel easy.
A website that speaks human
We started with tone. The whole site is built to feel warm and reassuring rather than intimidating, with clear, calm space for each of the firm's eight areas of law:
- Family law
- Criminal & police matters
- Property & conveyancing
- Wills & estates
- Commercial disputes
- VCAT & building disputes
- Insurance claims and business consulting
Instead of legalese, every section is written the way a worried person actually thinks — so someone facing a family or criminal matter can quickly find where they fit and feel like they're in capable hands. And like every Scalus build, it's fast, secure and always online.
"Describe your concern" — intake that doesn't assume legal knowledge
The centrepiece is a plain-language intake. Rather than forcing people to self-diagnose into the right legal category, it simply asks them to describe their concern in their own words. From there they can request the firm's free legal help or book a consultation directly — with the context captured up front, so Hina and the team already understand the situation before the first conversation begins.
The best legal intake doesn't make a stressed person learn the law first. It lets them explain the problem in their own words — and then routes them to the right help.
The detail most firms skip: court-accurate documents
Behind the website, we built something most clients never see but the firm relies on every week — an affidavit document system that produces affidavits in the exact official Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia court form. That means the firm's family-law documents look like properly filed court material from the very first draft, instead of needing to be reformatted by hand to satisfy the court's rules. It's the kind of quiet, behind-the-scenes system that saves real time on real matters.
The track record behind the brand
A warm site only works if the firm behind it can back it up, and Pasha Legal's history does the heavy lifting:
- 25+ years serving Melbourne
- 8 areas of law under one roof
- 4.3★ across 29 reviews
- A genuine free legal help offering
A website, a plain-language intake, consultation booking and a court-accurate document system that all work together — so the firm can spend its time helping people, not wrestling with admin.
