Mark a time waster and move on

The Pipeline in the Scalus app on a computer with Time waster open on a card, and the press and hold sheet on a phone

A tattoo studio I work with told me they were "dealing with a lot of time wasters". The owner asked for one thing: right click a lead and call it a time waster, and on a phone, press and hold. So I built it into the Pipeline in the Scalus app.

The problem

Every enquiry lands on the board, including the ones that will never book. They sit in the first column, they get in the way of real customers, and moving them to another stage could send them that stage's texts. There was no quick way to say "not this one" and get on with the day.

The result

In the Pipeline in the Scalus app, you can now mark anyone as a time waster.

Mark them once, and they stop taking up your board and your day.

The screens above are the real app, shown on a sample business. If your business uses the Pipeline in the Scalus app, you can ask for time wasters in the app.

Want this in your app?

Clients using the Pipeline can ask for it in the app today. Not a client yet? The website, the app and the systems behind them are one plan, month to month.

Questions about this feature

How do I mark someone as a time waster?
In the Pipeline in the Scalus app, right click their card on a computer, or press and hold it on a phone, and choose Time waster. The card leaves the board straight away, with Undo for 8 seconds.
Does the person get a message?
No. They are sent nothing, and the card's stage never changes, so none of your stage texts go out. If they send a new enquiry through your website with the same email or mobile, no card is made and they get no automatic quote text. You still get the email, with a subject that starts with Time waster.
Can I bring someone back?
Yes. Open Time wasters, at the top right on a computer or the last chip on a phone, and press Not a time waster. The card goes back to the stage it was in.
