How fast can I be live?
Four days from demo to launch. We'll have a 20 minute demo call on day one to understand your business. We design and build everything on days two and three. On day four, you're live with a launch call and handover of all systems.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Everything is month to month. You can cancel anytime with one month's notice. Your price is locked in forever, it never increases while you're a client, even if you stay for five years.
What does it cost?
There are three packages: Scalus, Scalus Pro which adds Meta ads and reporting, and Scalus Studio which adds full content production and social media. Every package includes a complimentary content shoot, and there are no hidden fees. Get in touch for current pricing.
Who builds and supports it?
Scalus is Melbourne based, founded by Tim in 2011. Tim has a background in video production and a Masters from Swinburne. You get local support from the people who built your system, no call centres, no outsourcing.
Can I upgrade or downgrade packages?
Yes. You can change packages anytime with one month's notice. If you upgrade partway through a month, we adjust your pricing proportionally.
What if I want to cancel?
One month's notice and you're done. We hand over all your data, domain, content and systems. No lock in, no drama. We only want clients who actively want to be with us.
Is there a setup fee?
No. Everything in the package price, design, build, launch, all systems. The only optional paid item is additional content production beyond the included shoot.
Will I need to be technical?
No. We build and maintain all the technical parts. You get an easy to use dashboard and inbox. If anything breaks or needs updating, we handle it.
What about my current website?
We'll build you a brand new site on our system. If you want to keep your current domain, that's fine, we'll migrate it. If you're happy to move, we set up your new Scalus branded address.
Can you work with my designer or developer?
We can. If you've already got someone building something, we're happy to integrate or hand off. But in most cases, it's faster and simpler for us to design and build the whole system together.
How do you handle data & privacy?
We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles. We use reputable providers and take reasonable steps to keep your data secure. Some of those providers store or process data overseas, including in the US. We never sell your data, and we only share it with the providers who help us run the service. See our

What's included in the content shoot?
A half day on location shoot of your business, team and work. You get 30+ professionally edited photos and video. High res files and optimised web versions. You own all usage rights.
Can I use Scalus for multiple locations?
Yes. If you have multiple locations or business names, we can set up separate systems and dashboards for each. Pricing adjusts accordingly.
Do you provide training?
Yes. We do a full launch call walking you through every feature. Then you've got ongoing support, if you forget how to do something, just call or email us.
What if I have a problem?
Email tim@scalus.app. You get direct access to the person who built your system. Not a support queue, not a ticket system, actual local support.
Will I have editor access to the website?
Not directly, but any changes you need are generally completed within 4 days. Just submit your changes via email and we'll get it done.
