If you want to keep your current domain, that is fine, I migrate it. If you are happy to move, I set up your new Scalus branded address.
No. I build and maintain all the technical parts.
You get an easy to use app and inbox. If anything breaks or needs updating, I handle it.
Yes. I do a full launch call walking you through every feature.
Then you have ongoing support. If you forget how to do something, message me through the Scalus App or give me a call.
Support is one to one with me, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
Send your changes through the Scalus App, give me a call, or book a time with me at scalus.app/call. Bigger work means changes across the whole site, several new pages at once or a new automated system.
I am closed Saturday and Sunday, so anything that lands over the weekend or outside those hours is picked up the following Monday.
Yes, once a year, from 20 December to 6 January.
Because your support is one to one with me rather than a call centre, I take that period off, and I would rather tell you up front than go quiet on you. Change requests are not actioned in that period, and anything you send is held and picked up on the first business day after 6 January.
Your website keeps running the whole time, so your forms, live chat, review requests, SMS follow up and lead notifications all carry on as normal. If your site ever went offline over the break I would attend to it. Your monthly fee does not change.
Apart from the Christmas close down, I work every business day of the year.
If I am ever going to be away or slower than normal at any other time, I tell you in advance and let you know what it means for anything you have with me, so you are never left wondering. I stay contactable through the Scalus App while I am away, so a message still reaches me and anything urgent gets looked at.
Your site, your forms and every automated system keep running regardless, because they are hosted and automatic.
Your website keeps working, your subscription stops, and your files come to you.
It is a fair question to ask a one person business, and it is written into my terms. If anything ever stopped me from running Scalus, your hosting is paid ahead and kept apart from the day to day business, so your website and its systems keep operating for a fail safe period of 24 months.

After the 24 months you would need to set your website up again with another provider, using those files. The full wording is in clauses 4(d) and 4(e) of the terms.

Scalus is Melbourne based, founded in 2024. I have a background in video production and photography, and a Masters of Media and Communications. No call centres. A small team of contractors helps me behind the scenes.

Yes, it is per website.
Every website and service is unique. One client needs an invoice generator, another wants an emergency telephone line, so each website is its own service at $225 a month, built around what that business needs. You run all of your sites from the one Scalus App.
My recommendation is to start with one site, see how it goes, then add the others. Each one is month to month and can be cancelled with 30 days notice.
No. Your email stays with you, in your own account.
For business email I recommend Google Workspace. Already on Microsoft 365 or another provider? Keep it. I copy your email records across before anything changes, so nothing drops out. If your email comes bundled with the hosting you are leaving, I tell you before anything moves so you can set it up again in Google Workspace.
Yes, I connect as many as you like, and they stay in your own name and your own account.
Need a new domain? Buy it yourself from GoDaddy or Hostinger, in your business name, and I point it at your site. Extra domains can point to your main site too.
I build every site on my own system rather than starting from nothing each time.
The parts every business needs, the hosting, forms, tracking, review system and search setup, are already built and proven, so my time goes into your design, your pages and your words.
The site is made for your business: your services, your service areas, your photos and your brand. You can see live client sites at scalus.app/clients.
There is no set number.
You review the site and ask for as many changes as you need before it goes live. After launch every change is still included in the $225, with no limit on how many you send.
Initially you may see a change in results, but the foundation of your new site is built on all the right SEO.
I take pride in SEO and AI Search, along with Google reviews, which I have a system for generating. Protecting what you already have is part of the build.

Each website keeps its own domain, its own pages, its own rankings and its own enquiry forms, so what each one has built up on Google stays with it.
What you do not get is a separate login for each. Every site, every enquiry and every change request sits in the one Scalus App, so you see all of your websites in one place.

Together they show me what to fix next: a page people see on Google but rarely click, a form they leave half finished, or an answer buried too far down. Those fixes are what lift your enquiries and how you show up in Google and AI search. None of the four costs you anything extra.
Yes. Your existing tracking goes straight onto the new site.
Google Analytics, Google Ads and Meta tracking carry on in the same accounts, so your history continues and your campaigns keep counting conversions. I check each one is recording on the new site before it goes live. Those accounts stay yours.
I also give you analytics from three sources, so you can see what the site is doing:
Hosting, updates, security and support are all part of the $225.
As with any provider, keep your own copy of the business records that matter to you.
That is treated as urgent and goes ahead of every other change.
Call me, or message me through the Scalus App, and I start on it as soon as I see it during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.
I keep watch over the hosting outside those hours too, including over the Christmas close down, and attend to anything that takes a site offline. Everyday changes are done within 4 business days, usually 1 to 2.
No. There is no exit fee and no transfer fee.
Your domains are transferred to you on request, and your content, photos, Google accounts and enquiry data leave with you on 30 days notice, along with a full export.
The only optional cost when you leave is $850, if you want to keep your website's design and code. That does not include the SEO and AI Search work.
About four days per site, from the demo call to being ready to launch.
That is once I have your content and access. With several sites I build them one after another and agree a launch date for each with you up front, so you are not waiting on all of them at once.
Yes, always.
You see each site in full on a private preview link, ask for any changes you want, and it only goes live on your domain once you tell me it is ready. Nothing switches over without your OK.

If you have already got someone building something, I am happy to integrate or hand off. In most cases it is faster and simpler for me to design and build the whole system together.
No. There is nothing to pay up front.
Design, build, launch and all systems are covered in your monthly price while you are with me.

You can cancel with 30 days notice. Your $225 will not go up while you stay on this plan, even if you stay for five years.

What does not come with the design and code is the SEO and AI Search work, the hosting, updates, support and the connected systems, like the enquiry forms, live chat, missed call text back, review system and lead notifications, which run on Scalus hosting and would need replacing elsewhere.
It is an ongoing service rather than a one off build that dates in a year or two, so while you are with me you get one to one support and your site keeps being updated, which you can follow at scalus.app/updates. It is set out in the terms.
Your domain, content, photos and enquiries all stay yours.
The domain, the content, the photos and every enquiry you have ever taken stay yours and come with you, and I hand you a full export of the lot.
What stops is the part I run: hosting, support, maintenance, security, the chat and the connected systems. If you want to keep your website's design and code, it is a one off build fee of $850, to put up wherever you go next. That does not include the SEO and AI Search work, and the connected systems would need replacing there. Cancel with 30 days notice. No lock in.
Give 30 days notice and your next payment is your last.
The domain, content, Google accounts and customer data are yours to keep, along with a full export of your enquiries. If you want to keep your website's design and code, it is a one off build fee of $850, not including the SEO and AI Search work.
The hosting and the connected systems, like the forms, chat and review system, stop with the subscription and would need replacing elsewhere. No lock in, no drama. I only want clients who actively want to be with me.
If a payment fails, your site stays up for up to 14 days while I sort it out with you.
After that it is paused until you pay. To leave, give 30 days notice in writing and everything of yours comes with you.
What stops is the part I run for you: hosting, support, maintenance, security, the chat bot and the other integrations. No lock in. If you want to keep your website's design and code, it is a one off $850.
I handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles.
I use reputable providers and my own secure database, and take reasonable steps to keep your data secure. Most of that data is stored in the United States. I never sell your data, and I only share it with the providers who help me run the service. See my Privacy Policy for full details.
