Biba Croydon hair salon website built by Scalus

One template, every salon a switchable light or dark look, Poppins type and bold black and white photography, with services, careers and online booking built in from day one.

The brief

Biba is a Croydon hair salon with a confident, urban identity gritty styling and a strong black and white visual language that sets it apart from the soft, pastel look most salon websites default to. The brand has a clear point of view, and the website needed to carry it without watering it down.

The bigger ask was structural. Biba didn't just want a website they wanted a website system: one template that could run a salon, then run the next one, without rebuilding from scratch each time. That meant a flexible look, sensible defaults, and the ability for the owner to set the tone of each site.

What I built

One template, every salon

I built Biba as a reusable one template salon system rather than a one off site. The structure services, careers and online booking is consistent and repeatable, so a new salon can launch on the same foundation instead of starting over. Build it once, run it everywhere.

A light/dark toggle the owner's call

Because the same template needs to suit different salons, I gave it a light/dark toggle. The owner sets the mood: a bright, clean white look or a moody, dark one the same site, two completely different feels, decided per location rather than baked into the code.

A brand true black and white look

The design leans into Biba's identity Poppins type and bold black and white photography across dedicated services pages, a careers page for hiring stylists, and built in online booking so clients can book a chair straight from the site.

A salon website shouldn't be rebuilt for every location. Build the template once, then let each owner set the look.

The result

Biba now has a salon site with a switchable look and built in booking and, just as importantly, a template that's ready to scale across locations rather than a single site that only ever serves one. The brand stays sharp, the booking is live, and the next salon launches faster than the first.

Want a system like Biba's?

I build the website, the booking flow and a template you can scale live in 4 days, month to month, same price forever.
