I started Scalus after more than 15 years in professional video production. I kept making videos for clients that never reached their potential, because there was nowhere solid to put them. No proper website, nothing published, so good work quietly disappeared. So now I build the website first. Get that foundation right, and content and advertising finally have somewhere to land.
Month to month. No lock in.
One plan, one price. The website built, hosted, kept live and looked after, for $225 a month. No contracts, no setup fees, and the price includes GST.
Four days. Demo call on day one, I build on days two and three, launch call on day four. That's it.
Am I locked into a contract?
No. Everything is month to month, and your price is locked in forever, it never goes up while you're a client.
Do I own the website?
You own the design, your content, your photos, and all of your contacts and data, and if you cancel they leave with you on one month's notice. What stays with Scalus while you are on the plan is the build itself, because there is no setup cost and nothing to pay up front. It is an ongoing service rather than a one off build that dates in a year or two, so you get one to one support from me and your site keeps being updated, which you can follow at scalus.app/updates/. If you would rather own the build outright, that is $5,000 plus GST at any time. It is set out in the terms.
What happens if I stop paying?
Everything is month to month, so you give one month's notice and everything of yours comes with you. What stops is the part I run for you: hosting, support, maintenance, security, the chat bot and the other integrations. No lock in and no exit fee.
What does it cost?
$225 a month, and that is the whole thing: the website built, hosted and kept live, the SEO and AI Search work, the Google review system and every ongoing change you ask for. Month to month, no build fee, no lock in, and the price includes GST.
Who builds and supports it?
Scalus is Melbourne based, founded by Tim in 2024 with a background in video production and photography, and a Masters of Media and Communications. You get local support from the people who built your system.
Will I have editor access to the website?
Not directly, but any changes you need are generally completed within 4 days. Just submit your changes via email and I'll get it done.
