Why it is number 1

Start here, every time

This is a must for any local business, and it is the easiest win you will get. When someone searches your trade in your suburb, the map pack and the profile show up before any website does. A profile that is filled out properly, with real photos, the right categories and reviews coming in, does more for a local business than most paid ads ever will. So it goes first, and everything else builds on it.

On the day

What we set up, together, on your laptop

I turn up with my own computer and we work through it on yours. I do the boring parts for you, and every account ends up in your name.

  1. 1
Claimed or created, in your name

If you already have one we get you the owner access. If not, we create it on your Google account, on your machine, so it is yours from the first minute.

  2. 2
    Categories, services, areas and hours

The primary category is the single most important setting on the whole profile, so we get it right, then the services and the suburbs you actually want work from.

  3. 3
    Verification on the day

Google will usually verify you while we sit there. If it will not, you leave with the exact steps and what normally unblocks it.

  4. 4
    Photos, products and posts loaded

A profile with real photos of your work, your van and your team looks like a real business. We load the first set and I show you how to keep adding.

  5. 5
    Reviews wired up

Your review link, where to send it, and what to say when you ask. Reviews are the thing that moves a profile up the map, so they get their own slot.

What you walk away knowing

Not theory. The actual screens.

The buttons you will be looking at on a Tuesday night when you want to change something.

  • How to read the profile insights and know what people searched to find you
  • What to post to the profile, and how often, so it never looks abandoned
  • How to answer a review, good or bad, in a way that helps the next person choose you
  • What to update when you add a service, change your hours or move

With every module

You are not left to work it out alone

The wall to learning takes a bit of effort. So every module comes with the time to get over it.

Up to 90 minutes

One on one, in person, on your laptop. Learning it, setting it up and understanding it, with me next to you.

Two calls in the first month

Because something always comes up in the first few weeks, and a ten minute call fixes most of it.

Ongoing support in the app

The same support you already get on your Scalus website, in the Scalus app, for as long as you are subscribed.

A refresher if you need one

I want you to learn the basics, then go and do the extra research yourself. If it slips, we can always do a refresher.

Scalus

For Scalus website clients only

Ads and posts send people to your website. Because I manage your website, I can work with you on your campaigns as they run. Say you have a new offer. I build a landing page that fits it, and your ad points straight at it.

Landing pages for whatever you are advertising are built for you, free, as part of your plan.

Google Business Profile

Things people ask before they book

I already have a profile. Is this still worth it?

Usually yes. Most profiles I see were claimed years ago, have the wrong primary category, three photos and no posts. Fixing that in one sitting is most of the value.

Can you verify it for me?

Verification has to happen on the owner account, so we do it together on your laptop. Some businesses get a video verification, some a postcard. I know what each one wants.

Do I need a website for this?

For this module, no. But Scalus Learn is only for Scalus website clients, because the profile points at your website and the two work together.
